Modern House designed for Mr.Hemal Wijewardena at Pilyandala. The design was done by Western Porvince Chief Architect Menaka Mangalanatha which uses strong geometric shapes and focuses on asymmetry and well-defined angles. Boxy shapes in multiple sizes add depth. This has given value to the land plot of the house. The property lot is often incorporated into the home design, creating an interesting balance between the home’s indoor and outdoor space. The front balconies which use the availability of sunlight in order to justify the user requirement of an outdoor space. The building was done in 2007 with construction constrains of building a house on a paddy filed land.
